Fernando Dos Santos is a national of Mozambique. He holds a Master's Degree in Intellectual Property from the University of London, and a degree in Law from the University of Trento in Italy. He teaches specialised courses on Intellectual Property jointly organised by the University of Turin (Italy), the University of South Africa (UNISA), and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). He was the first Director-General of the Mozambican Industrial Property Institute, and is currently Director-General of the African Regional Intellectual Property Organisation (ARIPO), having taken office in January 2013.
